A secondary character can take "the heat" off the protagonist for a while, so he doesn't have to carry the whole story by himself.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11322092941776920771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2091700778275524261.post-53685655118495153432017-06-13T13:48:22.005-05:002017-06-13T13:48:22.005-05:00Absolutely, Kaye. Sometimes the secondary character can bring a truth into the light or give some comedy relief when needed. If an author is writing a series, a secondary character can find an introduction in a story before he or she becomes the main character in the next book.
A good topic for conversation, Jeanne. Well done.
Sarah J. Frodo Baggins wouldn't have made it through Mordor without Samwise Gamgee. Dirk Pitt would have had a heck of a time on his ocean adventures without his buddy, Al Giordino. And Ice Age absolutely needed Sid the Sloth.

Kaye Spencerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13530735658588595790noreply@blogger.com
